”1 think it would be undignified for a secondary school of this calibre to lend itself to this,” said the chairman, Mr. D. A. Ewen, at last night's meeting of the Hutt. Valley High School Board of Governors when a request was received from a firm asking for the right to supply free exercise hooks to the school provided it was allowed to use the covers for approved advertisements. The board declined the offer with thanks, Mr. C. E. Dowlnnri dissenting.
"I don't like it; our pupils use the courts every Saturday,” said the principal. Mr. J. N. Millard, at the Hutt Valiev High School Hoard of Governors meeting last night, when the Hutt Valley Dawn Tennis Sub-Association, mentioning its lack of courts, asked for permission to use three of the school courts on Saturday afternoons for ranking matches. 'The application was refused.
