He gave a sympathetic bearing, but pointe,! out that already he had very urgent claims before him, the copt ot which would run into millions. He also explained that future educational developments in the. valley might have a very important bearing on lhe boards case—for instance, if an intermediate school with a throe-yoar course were cstaldii-'hed in Lower Hutt it would aflect the school roll considerably. However, he promised to go fully into tin* questions submitted to him. The committee indebted to Mr. Nash for arranging the interview and for his action in supporting the deputation.
