ENCOURAGEMENT OF ART AT HIGH SCHOOL
Following the desire of the board of governors of lhe Hutt Valley High School to encourage interest, i nnrt nt t.he school, some fine gifts have resulted. Mr. <l. Gabites, of the Parliamentary Library, has presented a handsome volume Containing a large selection of van Gogh's pictures, ahd Mr. L. T. Watkins, who did good service to the school during the assembly hall campaign, has given 12 framed .pictures, coloured prints of some of the world’s famous pictures. Mr. V. Watkins has promised also to present a further selection, and to lend some of his originals. Dr. B. J. Dudley has also assisted.
