District Nursing Guild Arranges Distribution The last monthly meeting for the year of the District Nursing Guild of St. John was held in the guild rooms recently. Mrs. E. M. Osborn thanked the members of the committee for the confidence they had shown in electing her president, for the ensuing year. _ _ Mrs. E. Baleombe Brown, retiring president, thanked the members of the committee, staff and other helpers for their co-operation and help during hei term of office. She expressed the conviction that the iillairs of the guild were in very good hands with Mrs. Osborn as president. Mrs. Baleombe Brown’s request to be relieved of the office of president of the District Nursing Guild of St. John was received with great regret at the annual meeting. Mrs. Osborn voiced the feelings of the committee and others present ou that occasion when she expressed, regret at Mrs. Baleombe Brown s inability to take office for the forthcoming year, at the same time placing on record the happy relation which existed and the committee’s deep appreciation of her services. The meinliers of the committee were happy to know that they would still have the benefit of her counsel and help us a member of the committee. Mrs. J. A. Doctor, In view of a holiday abroad, was granted leave of absence. The committee extended best wishes f° r an enjoyable hoiidny and safe return to New Zealand.

I’imrl arrangements were made with Sister Collins for the purchase and distribution of Christmas gifts Io bedridden patients and children. In this connexion the 10 guineas donaied by the Smith Family at the annual meeting was gratefully acknowledged. The committee extended best wishes for Christmas mid the New Year to the staff.
