BOMBER DAMAGED
Landing Wheel Collapses

When one of tlie Baffin bombers belonging to tbe Wellington Territorial Air .Force Squadron which is encamped at tbe Blenheim aerodrome was taxi-ing slowly out on to the flying field this morning preparatory to taking off for machine-gun practice at Lake Grassmere, one of the landing wheels collapsed and the big machine tipped forward, smashing tlie propeller and one of Hie lower wings. Pilot Officer iSniith, who was at the controls, was uninjured.
An examination disclosed faults in the metal disc wheel. Repairs will be effected in Blenheim after spare parts are received from tbe IWbsonville base.
