Teachers’ Drill Dress (From “The Dominion,” Augutit 13, 1I»I3.) A meeting <>n Saturday of*the Manawatu branch of the Wellington District Educational Institute resolved that the institute will support morally and legally any lady teacher who refuses to wear the dress prescribed for physical drill purposes, unless proper gymnasiums are supplied in which to give the exercises. [Physical drill was then introduced in schools under the direction of Mr. Royd Garlick.]
The City of Christchurch Empowering Bill, introduced by Mr. 11. G. Ell, proposes the establishment of a corporation milk supply.
Motor tests with benzol fuel show that benzol develops considerably . greater power than'petrol, while it is fivepence per cmUou cheaper.
