ADMIRAL BYRD’S PLANS
Hopes To Go South Next Year Dominion Special Service. Dunedin, August S. in a letter to Mr. R. S. Black acknowledging receipt of newspaper cuttings concerning the Discovery 11, RearAdmiral R. E. Byrd states that there is nothing certain about his returning to the Antarctic, although he hopes to make the trip some time next year. He adds: VI am writing a book, which I promised to the publishers b.v a certain date. I am far behind schedule and am having to work day and night on it and am putting aside everything else until the book is finished.
