Fair Demand For Lamb The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London oflicc as at close of business last week: 'There is only a poor demand for wethers and larger supplies have caused prices to weaken. The market for ewes is quiet and unchanged. There is a fair! demand for lambs. The market is weaker for second quality, but first grades remain steady. There is a fair demand for chilled beef. "Wethers, light, 5(1. to 5Jd. a lb.; heavy, 4jd. to 4jd. Ewes. 2 7-Bd. to 4d. Lambs, 2’s, 7 3-Bd. to 7-Jd.; B’s, 7 3-Bd. to 7}d.; 4’s, 7}d. to 7 3-Bd.; seconds, 7d. to 7 l-Bd.
