AMATEUR BILLIARDS
Provincial Championships
Entries f>T the annual Wellington amateur provincial billiards championship will close on Monday at. 5 p.m. It is anticipated that large entries will again be forthcoming this year, and the tournament, which will begin on July 18, will probably extend over a fortnight. After the amateur championship the Wellington open billiards championship will be conducted, being scheduled to begin on August 8. The small-table handicap tournament will be held on August 29. This will be conducted simultaneously with the New Zealand amateur championship, which this year is' being held at Dunedin.
Following the billiards championships, the Wellington provincial amateur snooker championship will be held, this being scheduled to begin on September 26
