CALEDON—ISALON COLT A sale of Australian-bred yearlings, the property of Mr. C. Hamilton, Sydney, was held at Trentham yesterday the auctioneers being Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Ltd. Top price of o2ogns. w:m realised tor the bay colt by Caledon from Isalon, who was bought by Mr. J. Baker, Morrinsville. Mr. R. B. Hines, le Arolia, paid 450gns. for the Brazen-Ridicule colt and Mr. W. IL Barton, Matamata, secured the Spearhead—Silo colt for 200gns. and the Caledon—Sandra filly for gns The Brazen—liolene filly, a threequarter sister to Ibrani, winner ot the A.T.C. Oakleigh Plate in record time for Australia and New Zealand, went to Mr. F. C. Christie, Hyde, for 230gns. A brown filly by Constant Sou from Lady Cynosure was bought by Mr. 11. B. Martin, Christchurch, for 400gns. A number of other yearling# and sei oral older horses were offered for sale, but there were a good few passings. Morning Mist, g buy filly by Irish Lancer—Bright Hackle, rising two years, offered on account of Mr. R. J. Murphy. Wellington, was bought by Mr. W. Glover, Auckland, who also secured for GSgns. the six-year-«ld bay gelding Baldric (Malarmn—Life) sold on account of Mr. C. W. Boyd. Palmerston North. . Allmetic, five years, by Mimetic —All Day, offered on account of Mrs. R. E. Growcott, Hastings, was bought by Mr. R. Martin, Matamata, for 200gne. The seven-year-old Royal Divorce — Musical Moment gelding Sundar was sold on account of Mr. A. F. Atkins to Mr. R. Thompson, Carterton, for 25gns. The four-year-old mare Marriage Bell (Tea Tray—Gold Treasure), sold on account of Smith Bros., Mangaweka, was purchased by Mr. L. Brown, Upper Hutt, for 14gns. The yearling Trench Law (GasconyMere Mere), offered on account of Mr. Graham McCormick, Hastings, was passed in at 375gns. The Acrey-Lorna Doone five-year-old Jan Ridd, offered on account of Mr. R. T. Reid. Hamilton, was passed in at 240gns. Other passings were the yearling filly Madonna (Pink Coat —-Jarretiere) at 120gns. and the aged ch. m. Betty Boop (Bisogne—Aune) also' at 120gns. Offered on account of Mr. F. Kettlewell, Johnsonville, the four-year-old gelding Laggard (Lackham —-Regard) was passed in at HOgns.
