Christianity And Socialism

Sir. —The Hon. J. K. Archer says he is a Socialist because he believes that Socialism represents the teachings of Christ. Might I suggest that if Christ advocated jiny form of Socialism his method was through the hearts of men and never by alliance with Caesar.

The hon. gentleman attempts to whitewash the Communists and tells us that many of them are Christians. One can only remember that we are told that by their needs shall ye know them. He would excuse and apparently justify their methods as only retaliation for like treatment from their opponents. This to me at least is a new definition of Christianity.—l am, ete., DISGUSTED.
