Mexican rebels in the province of San Luis Potosi dynamited a train 55 miles east of the city of San Luis,, killing the fireman. The "New York 'Times’s” Mexico City correspondent says that it is reported that General Cedillo, leader of the rebels, is leading 14,000 armed Indian peasants to cut off detachments of Federal troops. While the Government maintaining an official attitude of silence regarding military activities, the Press of Mexico City is carrying on a carefully developed propaganda to hide the growing seriousness of the San Luis situation.

The authorities at San Luis PotoSi have announced that Federal troops shot dead Senor Juansoria Urias, a brother-in-law of General Cedillo, who was en youte to join his leader. Government troops are closing in on the rebel hide-outs. Army officials, while insisting that the rebellion is of little military importance, admitted that General Cedillo might hide indefinitely in the hills.
