-o Boxing At Ashburton By - Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, April 28. In a fast and clean boxing bout of 12 rounds, Les Adams (Ashburton), 10.4, beat Jack Jarvis (Eltham), 9.7, New Zealand lightweight champion, on points at Ashburton to-night. Adams was more aggressive in the earlier rounds and toward the finish, although Jarvis gave an excellent exhibition in the final round. The pace was unusually fast throughout.
