FORECAST FOR TO-DAY’S WEATHER.

Fair, With South-easterly Winds And Moderate lo Warm Temperatures. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending at 3 p.m. to-day An anti-cyclone of considerable intensity is centred east of the South Island. A depression Is located south of Norfolk Island, but is fillin,, up. Pressure is high over all southern Australia. The forecast is for south-easterly winds about Cook Strait and elsewhere east to north-east, force moderate to strong north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, but elsewhere light to moderate. Seas rough north of East Cape ami rather rough elsewhere north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura. Slight to moderate, thence southward. Moderate south-east to easterly winds and slight to moderate seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather for the most part cloudy to overcast in eastern and far northern districts with scattered showers or drizzling rain, but improving somewhat. Fair elsewhere. Temperatures still moderate to warm.
