Rail-car Driver Sees Them

Masterton, April 4,
But for the prompt action of the driver o f the Wellington-bound rail-car last night, a derailment might have occurred about three-quarters of a mile south of Masterton. The rail-car was travelling at her normal speed when the driver noticed a number of large stones on the lines ahead. He brought the car to a stop and removed the stones. . . Wairargpa police are investigating the incident.
