BOROUGH ASSESSOR
Public Meeting To Be Held At Petone A public meeting of ratepayers will be held in the Council Chambers, Jackson Street, Petone, on Thursday evening, to elect from those nominated one person to be appoiuted as borough assessor. Every ratepayer present at. the meeting whose name appears on the local authority’s valuation roll is entitled to one vote, and no more than one. This procedure differs from an ordinary election or ratepayers’ poll when both husband and wife are entitled to vote. As soon as all the ratepayers who desire to vote have recorded their votes the chairman will declare the voting closed and after counting the votes .will immediately declare the result of the election.
