BELGIAN ATTITUDE
If France Asks To Cross Territory (Received March 23, 10.30 p.m.) Brussels, March 23. The Foreign Minister, M. Spaak. asked in the Chamber what Belgium would do if Germany attacked the Czechs and France asked to be allowed to cross Belgium to defend her ally.
He replied that France had no right to ask for passage across Belgian territory to fulfil obligations in which Belgium had no part. He thought it inconceivable that France would make such a demand.
