Eric Treacy, a 35-year-old A Liverpool vicar, plans to establish f I “marriage” schools to teach young lovers how to solve the problem of , • married life. Ignorance is the chief reason for so many romances ending in the Divorce Court, he says, and he believes that his scheme will defeat ignorance by providing young couples with a skilfully prepared code for living. Robert Sauce. Take 2oz. onions, 2oz. butter, half a / pint stock, loz. flour, 1 teaspoonful made mustard, 1 teaspoonful vinegar, castor sugar, 1 teaspoonful lemon juice. Chop the onion finely. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Put in the minced onion and fry together until the onion turns a pale brown. Add the flour and mix well together. Stir in the stock gradually. Add a seasoning of salt and pepper, also a pinch of castor sugar. Mix thoroughly and simmer for 20 minutes. Pour through a strainer. Lastly, stir in the vinegar, lemon juice, and mustard. This sauce is very good with roast pork, goose, cutlets, or a grill.
