ENGAGEMENTS
COTTLE—MCALLISTER. Hilda Joan, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. McAllister, Springlands, Blenheim, to Vivian George, third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cottle, Park Avenue, Lower Hutt. Miss Mary Greenwell, former general secretary for the Y.W.C.A. at New Plymouth, has been appointed Y.W.C.A. secretary in Wales, with headquarters at Cardiff. Miss Christina Young, the Wellington singer, is, according to advices received by her mother, to broadcast from Daventry (England) on shortwave wireless on April 1. She will be heard at 7.15 a.m. and 7.45 a.m. New Zealand time, on transmission No. 4.
