Chesney and Miss Mary Chesney, Lower Hutt, will leave for England by the Rangitata early next month. / Five O'Clock Parties A cheery cocktail party was given by Mr. and Mrs. Gray Young on Tuesday at their home in Sydney Street, when they entertained a number of their friends. The guests gathered in the drawing-room and the dining-room, which were decorated with hydrangeas and gladioli. Mrs. Gray Young was wearing a floral frock in Chinese red and blue tonlngs, and her daughter, Miss Barbara Gray Young, who assisted in entertaining the guests, was in a frock of mauve blue. Visitor Entertained To entertain Sir Stenson Cooke, general secretary of the Automobile Association, London, Dr. and Mrs. Graham Robertson gave a five o’clock party at their home in Hobson Street on a recent evening, there being more than 70 guests. Mrs. Robertson was wearing a black frock trimmed' with gold lame. Her daughter, Miss Valerie Robertson, wore a navy blue floral frock, and Miss Whitcombe, of Christchurch, who is staying with Dr. and Mrs. Robertson, was dressed in plum-coloured marocain.
