Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, March 23. There was a moderate entrj' at the Wanganui sale to-day. The fairly steady and general rain over the past 24 hours steadied the market and practically everything was sold under the hammer. Fat sheep were on a par with last week, but fat cows, ex dairy, receded by about 20/a head. During the last fortnight heavier entries of this class have been coming forward. Fat pigs were firm and stores sold better than last week. A heavy entry of vealers caused the market to ease slightly. Realisations were as follows :— Sheep: Fat ewes, light, 13/10 to 17/-; fat two-tooth wethers, 24/- to 24/9; fat lambs, 18/- to 21/-; light, 16/- to 17/9; two-tooth wethers, 20/10; medium twotooth ewes, 30/1; s.m. ewes, 18/- to 22/6; ewe lambs. 17/10 to 20/1; wether lambs, 14/- to 15/9; b.f. lambs, good, 13/6 to 15/2; fair, 11/- to 13/6; cull lambs, 5/- to 9/6; fattening ewes, good, 10/- to 11/3; culls, 5/- to 8/6; twotooth down rjuns, £2/2/- to £3/3/-; aged, good, 25/- to 35/-; poor and done, 6/to 12/-; Romney rams, 10/- to 25/-. Cattle: Good fat S.H. cows and heifers, £6/16/- to £8; heavy Jersey cows, £5/10/- to £6; average, £5 to £5/10/-; light. £4/7/6 to £5; good stores, £3/2/to £3/5/-; average, £2/15/- to £3; poor, £l/10/- to £2/5/-; heavy bulls, £6 to £7; average, £4 to £5/5/-; Jersey heifers, spring calvers. £5/13/- to £5/15/-; Jersey weaner hciferSj £3/12/6 to £3; small, £2 to £2/7/6.
