FINAL AUCKLAND WOOL SALE

Catalogue Of 32,665 Bales Dominion Speciai ServiciAuckland, March 23. A catalogue totalling 32.665 bales, the largest for a considerable number of years, will be offered at the third and final Auckland wool sale of the season to be held on Saturday afternoon. Overseas and local buyers have already arrived and were busy appraising the clip to-day. The majority of the stores are practically filled to capacity but in t-l>ite- of the loss ot several Saturday mornings through an industrial dispute, the clip was ready for inspection in ample time. The unusually large clip is due to the high proportion of wool which was held over from the first sale in Novem her, when only about 50 per cent, ot the offering was disposed of. Although growers met the market more readily at the January fixture, there still remained over 10.000 bales to l>e carried forward to the third auction. Wool has been coming in fairly steadily for several months and brokers closed their catalogues last Saturday. BIG WOOL SHIPMENTS FROM LYTTELTON Dominion Speciai Service Christchurch, March 23. Big shipments of wool are being made from Lyttelton this week. The Blue Star liner Dunedin Star left Lyttelton to-night for London with a very large cargo of wool, part of which was stowed on deck. The steamer Ben venue, which arrived this morning from tbe United Kingdom via Sydney, is loading 10.600 bales for England and the Continent. She will sail about Friday night for Timaru, where she will complete loading.
