PANDORA SOCIETY

Opening Night Of 1938 Season The Pandora Musical and Dramatic Society, now settled in their 'new rooms in Victoria Street, held the opening of their 19cJ8 season last night. There was a good attendance of members, all of whom were greatly entertained by the excellent programme put on for their benefit. The stage was erected in a setting of blue and gold, and across the ceiling of the room was a canopy of green and white streamers, these colours being repeated in other decorations. Following the presentation of the various items on the programme, supper was served. The programme was as follows: —

One-act play, “The' Juggler,” proeduced by Mr. L. A. Walker ; song and dance, Miss Gay Cousins; humorous monologue, Miss Violet Roberts; song, Miss Kathleen Fuller; one-act play, “Good 8100d —Bad Blood,” produced by Mrs. Grace Walpole; song, Miss Violet Roberts; modern Germaq dance, Miss Lilian Kettlewell; song, Mr. Bernie Webb; one-act play, “In Conference,” produced by Mr. Len Walker; song, Mrs. Kettlewell; musical monologue, Miss ,Esme Crowe; mouth organ solo, Miss'Violet ‘Roberts; musical burlesque, “The House Hunters,” produced by Mr. Percy Cousins. Among those present were:—Mrs. Pearson, Miss Pearson, Madame Wahren, Miss M. Mulford, Miss M. King, Miss Williams, Mrs. Kindred, Miss Morgan, Mrs. Cousins, Mr. Cousins, Mr. Waddle, Mr. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Clark, Mr. Stevens, Mrs. Ring, Mr. and Mrs. Walpole, Miss Cornwell, Mr. Kettlewell, Mr. Hedges, Miss Jellieoe, Mr. Dowling.
