ANNUAL MEETING

Rongotai College Ladies

Auxiliary The annual meeting of the Rongotai College Ladies’ Auxiliary was held in the college gymnasium yesterday afternoon. Although there was a large attendance. the president made a special appeal for more members as it is the committee’s desire to enlist, the help and of all mothers. In this connection the annual report states: “A review of the past year's work of the auxiliary reveals the fact that in spite of the enforced period of idleness caused by the epidemic it has been a most successful year—socially and financially—and members have every reason to be well satisfied with the results. Although the work has been carried' out enthusiastically and well, the attendance at the meetings has not been as large as desired and, therefore, an appeal is made for more members (all mothers of pupils, if possible) to join the auxiliary and give their veryvaluable assistance. There is no membership fee. The work is not hard and becomes an avenue for making new friends and renewing old friendships. It is a work that is beneficial to the college and by having more members the work would be easier for all concerned.”

The annual report indicated an active and successful year and the balance sheet showed a very satisfactory state of affairs, reflecting great credit on the conveners, members and the generosity of the parents. Mr. F. Martyn Renner, principal, thanked .the president, conveners and friends for their untiring efforts in contfection with the college, and urged the auxiliary to strengthen the committee and still further to make- an earnest endeavour to bring more friends to each meeting.
