BRIDGE EVENING
Players At English-Speaking Union Mrs. S. Vine, who was wearing a frock of black and red floral ninon, was hostess at the monthly open bridge evening of the English-Speaking Union, held in the union’s rooms last night. There were about 100 players present. The room was decorated with dahlias, hydrangeas and bright orange berries, soft light being thrown from coloured standard lamps. During the evening a savoury supper was served at the bridge tables. Those who made up tables were:— Mr. and Mrs. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Musket, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Cook, Mrs. Phelan, Mr. and Mrs. P. Rundle, Mrs. Ridler, Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Perrett, Mrs. Waugh, Mrs. A. Marsden, Mrs. Aston, Mrs. Parkhouse, Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. Wheeler, Mrs. Murphey, Mrs. Wilson, Miss . Gaynor, Miss Boyd, Miss Goldy; Miss McKnight, Miss Hyams, Mr. Crowther, Mr. Carrtington, Mr. Ilemmingway, Mr. Baigent.
