National Party Cabaret At Ngapaeruru
The junior branch of the National Party held a most successful cabaret on Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Stanfield, Ngapaeruru. The reception rooms were beautifully decorated with red, white and blue flowers—the colours of the National Party. There were more than 150 present, visitors attending from Wellington, Palmerston North, Pahiatua and Dannevirke. Mrs. Stanfield received her guests wearing a black frock trimmed with beads. She was' assisted by her daughters, Mrs. Daniells, in black lace, Mrs. Rotherham (Wellington), in gold lame, and by the Misses M., E., L., and J. Curtis. Mrs. T. Nelson, president of the junior branch, wore autumn floral ninon. Members of the committee were Misses Brenda Stewart, B. Brakewell, J. Beedie, E. Russell, A. Roberts, N. Mitchell and T. Frame.
