Third B men: Victoria v. Lyall Bay, Karori v. Talavera. . Third B women: Te Rama v. Wellesley, Roseueath v. Victoria. . Fourth A : Miramar A v. D.1.C., Talavera v. Trinity. Sunday.—Third C men: Te Rama v. Broadway. Grade finals will be umpired by ths ■Wellington Lawn Tennis Umpires’ Association.
HOUSE MATCH
Wright, Stephenson’s Beat Levin’s The annual tennis match between Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., qnd Levin and Co., Ltd., was played at Miramar on Sunday afternoon. This match was inaugurated some six years ago, and to date' Wright, Stephenson have had four wins and Levin and Co., Ltd., two wins. The results were as follows, Wright, Stephenson players mentioned first:— Men’s singles: ■ Deal beat O’Connor, 9-3; Mclnnes lost to Collins, 4-9; Forgie lost to Porter, 4-9; Harwood beat Acheson, 9-6; Hepburn beat Feek, 9-7; Ruddick lost to Overend, 5-9; Steel lost to N. Pearce, 8-9; Walker beat Barraud, 9-2; Collins beat Petersen, 9-0; Russell beat J. W. Pearce, 9-6; Wells lost to Turner, 4-9. Men’s doubles: Deal and Melnues lost to O'Connor and Barraud, 7-9; Steel and Walker beat Pearce and Collins, 9-8; Forgie and Hepburn beat Feek aud Petersen, 9-7; Collins aud Harwood lost to Acheson and Pearce, 7-9; Russell and Porter beat Barraud and Pearce, 9-4; Wells and Ruddiek lost to Turner and Overend, 4-9. Wright, Sjxjpheusou and Co. won by 21 sets. 237 games, to Levin and Co.’s 12 sets, 190 games.
