NATIONAL PARTY
Crowded Meeting At Masterton LARGER HALL OBTAINED Dominion Special Service. Masterton, March 22. The interest being shown in politics was demonstrated in Masterton last night when a meeting of the National Party was held to appoint voting delegates. Long before 8 o'clock the roomy social hall in the municipal building was crowded and numbers of people were unable to gain admission. To cope with the crowd it was necessary to make arrangements for the use of the main hall downstairs, where the night's proceedings were conducted. On Monday night the four nominees for the Mastgrton seat — Messrs. G. R. Sykes, J. H. Irving, P. R. Welch and F. W. Parry—will deliver short addresses, after which the voting delegates will select the candidate. The candidate to contest the Wairarapa seat also will be selected ou Monday. '
