During the week-end a gala was held on the Foxton bowling green. Visitors were present from Wanganui, Marton, Newtown, Feilding, Levin, Palmerston North, and Otaki, and conditions of play allowed for four games of 12 heads. In the semi-finals Verry (Newtown) beat Lowe (Wanganui) and Marr (Marton) beat Handly (Terrace End). The final resulted in a win for Verry.
