Sustenance And Motor-Cars
Sir, —I S aw in this morning’s “Dominion” a case in Auckland where a man was summoned for being drunk in charge of a motor-car. He was on sustenance, had nine children, and a motor-car. . .. There must be something wrong with this sustenance business. I know of two cases where sustenance men have motorcars, also wireless sets. I also heard of three brothers driving to the post office in a car to collect their dole. What would that same magistral? say to that? I don t know how it is to be remedied, but something ought to be done about it, but what? - 1 am ’ et °” M.W. Greytown, March 22.
