About 29,000 sheep were entered at today’s Addington sale, breeding ewes comprising about 16.000 head, and store lambs 6000. 'Die remainder consisted of fat sheep and fat lambs. Store lambs; There was a smaller penning, and a weaker market. Good sold well’at to 19/-; medium, 15/- to 17/-; and inferior, down to 11/-. Store sheep: A very mixed lot was penned, but it included some good lines of Romney cross and Corriedale twotooths. The latter sold from 37/- to 40/-. In several cases there were outstanding sheep, but the market firmed to ewe fair parity. Fine wool two-tooths sold to 37/6, and the bulk of average sorts from 27/- to 30/-. Old sheep sold soundly from 14/- to 16/- for failing-mouthed, and to 21/- for sound-mouthed. Fat lambs: 'There was a rather slow sale for a small entry at export rates. Special pens made to 31/10. Fat sheep : A total of 5500 was penned, and a weaker sale resulted, exporters not being so keen. All but the best wethers' were down by 1/6 a head. Best wethers sold at from 29/- to 33/-; good, 26/- to 28/6; inferior, down to 19/-; best ewes, IS/- to 21/-; a few tops to 26/-; good medium weights, 15/- to 17/6; and light doivn to 12/-. Fat cattle: A smaller entry of 433 head met an all-round better market, by 10/to 15/- a head, except for inferior cows. Best steers made from £l4 to £l7; good, £l2 to £l3/10/-; light, down to £9; good cows and heifers, £7/10/- to £9/10/-; a few tops to £l2: light Jieifers, down to £5/10/-; and cows to £5. Flit pigs: There was little change in values. Porkers made 37/6 to 51/m 'l’he average price per lb. was 6}d. to 6sd. Baconerg made 57/6 to £4/6/6. The average per lb. was 6d. to. 64d.Store pigs values were slightly easier. TVennei’S made 7/6 to 16/-; slips, 17/6 to 20/-; stores, 23/- to 38/6.
