Bright Future Likely (By Carbine.) One of the most useful twoyear-olds in the Auckland district, and probably one of the most useful of the season anywhere in the country, is Hot Box, who ran a first and second at the recent Takapuna meeting. r , When Hot Box won lie carried 9.4, and ran the six furlongs out very strongly to beat Calorie, another good finisher. Hot Box is. a bay colt by Cape Horn from Iceball, by Valkyrian from Pebble 11. a Rock Flint mure Dr. W. C. Ring imported from England. Hot Box is bred to stay and up to the present ho has shaped as though he will be one of our future handicap horses.
