Cricket Match Yesterday A ei-ieket mutch pln.ved by the Australian Mutual Provident Society against the Government Life Insurance yesterday resulted in a win for the latter by 39 runs on the first innings. The A.M.P. batted first and scored 152, the main scorers being Hay 51, Kershaw 29, Hill 15, and Jones 18. Bowling for Government Life, Burnette took five wickets for 37 runs; Bartlett, three for 39; and Stewart, one for 12. Government Life’s innings realised 191 runs, the principal scorers being Fitzgerald 60, Bartlett 36, Robertson 24, and Buller 1.8
Bowling for A.M.P., Hay took four wickets for 57 runs ; Smith, three for 61 ; and Porteous, one for 58.
