Exner Medal Award. Sir Harold Hartly, director of research for the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway, and chairman of the Fuel Research Board, was awarded in Vienna the Exner Medal of the Lower Austrian Association of Commerce and Industry, for services to industrial research, states a British official wireless message from Rugby. The only other British recipient of this honour was the late Lord Rutherford.
