First Case Of Kind In
Wellington
In file Supreme Court at Wellington yesterday Patrick George Kubler, aged 22, a grocer's assistant, pleading guilty to two charges of obscene exposure at Wellington, was admitted to two years’ probation by Mr. Justice Ostler. Mr. A. 11. Arndt appeared for the prisoner. This was the first case in Wellington under the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, \yhereby an accused person who has pleaded not guilty in the Magistrates’ Court and been committed for trial, and who then wishes to change his plea to one of guilty, may. by application, have his qjse brought on for hearing instead of waiting for the opening of the criminal sessions.
