Dense Fog
(British Official Wireless.)
Rugby, December 15.
In dense fog and when there was visibility of only two or three yards, the Cunard-White Star liner Andania (14,000 tons) collided with the oiltanker British Statesman (7000 tons) at Purfleet last night. No one was hurt, and only slight damage above the waterline was caused to the Andania, which had previously discharged her passengers at Tilbury.
