OBITUARY
Mr. Thomas Bason
The ’death occurred at 'Wanganui recently of Mr. Thomas Bason, aged 74, a member of a family associated with the early days of settlement in that district. Mr, Bason was for some time connected with the brickmaking industry in Wanganui. In 1905 he removed with his family to Taihape, where for many years he carried on a successful business, relinquishing it in 1919 to take up a small farming property in Pahiatua. A few months ago he returned to Wanganui. He leaves a widow, one son, Mr. S. T. Bason, Upper Hutt, and five daughters. Mesdames E. Morrison, Auckland. E. Funnel!, Awhitu. R. S. Watson titl’d 11. Bullin, New Plymouth, and P. M. Cameron, Wellington.
