PALESTINE RECOMMENDATIONS.
A map, specially prepared by “The Dominion," illustrating the recommendations of the Royal Commission on Palestine for ending the dissatisfaction of the Arab and Jewish inhabitants of the mandated territory. The land, distinguished by diagonal shading, lying to the seaward (west) side of the suggested frontier, is proposed os a separate Jewish state. All land to the east of this frontier, with the exception of a corridor including Jerusalem and Bethlehem and extending past Lydda to the sea at Jaffa and Tel Aviv, is recommended for inclusion in one Arab state with Transjordania. The “Jerusalem-Jaffa corridor," which would interrupt the continuity of the Jewish state, would, it is suggested, form the subject of a new mandate to be formed to "execute a sacred trust of civilisation over holy places."
