Visitors to Wellington Mrs. W. S. Bean is a Christchurch visitor to Wellington. Lady Murray, Government House, Papua, is staying at t he Midland Hotel. Mrs. E. J. Herrick ami Miss Julia Herrick, Hastings, are visitors to Wellington, and are staying at the Midland Hotel. Going Abroad Miss J. MacDonald and Miss E. Sparrow, formerly of Ashburton, ■ will leave Wellington to-day by the Awatea for Australia. Miss Gertrude Plimmer, Boxhill, Khandallah, and her niece, Miss Anna Plimmer, left on a trip to Java and the Straits Settlements last week. Mrs. A. S. Storey, who has been staying at Sayes Court with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. It. C. Addison, will leave Wellington by the Awatea to-day on her return to Sydney. Mr. and Mrs. A. Herbert, Otago, and the Misses Constance and Judith Herbert, left Wellington during the weekend for Auckland, from where they will sail by the Monterey for America. Mrs. R. H. Meade, Palmerston North, ■will leave Wellington by the Ruahine to-morrow for a visit to Ireland, where she has relatives. Mrs. Meade is a keen sportswoman and is looking forward to the hunting in Ireland. Miss Alice Gray, Wellington, will leave by the Awatea to-day for Sydney, where she will join the Changte for a trip to the Orient Miss Gray has been entertained at several farewell parties during the past few days, her hostesses being Mrs. Chirnside, Mrs. Henry Charles and Mrs. Curtis. On Holiday Mrs. J. R. Page left Wellington last night for the south. Mrs. H. W. Combe, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss Margaret Theobold, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. Alister Young, The Terrace, is a visitor to Hastings. Mrs. J. G. Young, Lower Hutt, left last night for Timaru to stay with her mother, Mrs. George Bowker. Returned Home Mrs. G. W. Forbes, who came to Wellington last week to see her two daughters off to Sydney, left last night on her return to Cheviot.
