Clifford-Marsh —O’ Kane
The wedding was solemnised recently at the Church of St. Mary of the Angels, Bouleott Street, Wellington, of Kathleen, daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. P. O’Kane, Makotuka, Hawke’s Bay, and George Leonard, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Clifford-Marsh, Berhampore, Wellington. The Rev. Father Dignan, S.M., officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. 11. Leckie, wore a gown of oyster-tinted lace mounted on satin. The neckline was cowled in front and caught with a spray of orange blossom and the long full sleeves were pointed over the hands. She wore satin shoes and a satin cap with stiffened brim of net and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of pink carnations and roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Ngarie Ross, Porungahau, wore a gown of duck-egg blue embossed velvet having a cowl neckline and a wide sash at the waist looped at the back. Velvet shoes were worn and a lace hat to tone. Her bouquet was of sweet-peas and roses. The best man was Mr. J. Pye. A quiet reception after the ceremony was held at Lyall Bay, where the bride and bridegroom’s parents received the guests. Mrs. O’Kane wore a black tailored costume and peach-bloom hat and carried a <osy in autumn tints. Mrs. Clifford-Marsh wore a royal blue ensemble and hat and carried a scarlet posy.
When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, the former was wearing a crushed strawberry ensemble with brown trimmings, a brown velvet toque and brown skin shoes. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Clifford-Marsh will reside in Wellington.
