STRIKE THREAT DENIED
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Xpril 19. The threatened strike by women cleaners at the hospital failed to materialise. The medical superintendent stated that although wage increases were demanded the cleaners had assured him that there was no truth in the report that they intended to walk out in order to enforce their demands.
