“AND SO TO BED”

Box Plan Opens To-day

This morning the' box plan lor the Thespian production of J. B. Fagairs famous costume comedy, “And So To Bed.’’ opens to the publie at Begg's, and as preliminary inquiries indicate that booking will be very heavy, intending patrons are advised to obtain their scans without delay. “And So To Bed,” which should be the best Thespian production to date, has been very popular in Loudon, and, indeed, wherever it has been produced. The beautiful seventeenth century costumes, witty dialogue, and situations created by a master-playwright, and the life-like portraits of such famous and popular figures .as Samuel Pepys, the famous diarist, and his beautiful wife, Charles 11, and many of the characters from Pepys’ diary, all combine, to make the .play one. of the most successful pro-, ductions of recent years. As in all productions by the Thespians, a feature is to be made of the scenery and lighting, both of which have been designed by members to tit the play. The gorgeous specially-imported costumes will be set off to best advantage. A very strong cast, including such firm Thespian favourites as Dorothy Tansley, A. D. Priestlev, Sinclair Ronald. Warren Toogood, and Zenocrate Mountjoy has been in active rehearsal for some time under the Thespians’ new producer, Mr. D. G. Edwards, and the society _ is confident that the play will exceed in popularity even “Call It'a Day” and “Lovers’ Leap.
