LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
Carterton Meeting The monthly Bieeting of the Carterton League of Alothers was held on Tuesday, the president, Airs. R. H. Every, occupying the chair. There was a good attendance of members. Eleven new members were elected. Much-ap-preciated solos were given by Mrs. 1.. Knutson and Miss Surtees. The thought for the mouth was: “A good laugh is sunshine in the home.” Alembers were requested to contribute flowers for a wreath for Anzac Day. The sale of cakes resulted in the raising of sufficient money to purchase a three-tier wagon, which was used for the first time and w.as much admired. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Bafrer at the conclusion of her address. Alesdames L. J. Harding and L. Aplin undertook to visit sick members during Ihe mouth. Mrs. C. White, Dominion president, will be the speaker at the next meeting.
