CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN
Level Crossing Accident By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, April 16. At an early hour this morning a car driven by Mr. F. S. Rose, Davis Street, Hastings, was struck by a special meat train coming from Tomoana. Mr. Rose, who received minor injuries, was removed to Napier Hospital. The accident occurred at the Hastings Street level crossing, Napier, at 3.45 a.m., and it was fortunate that the train was proceeding at a very slow speed. The driver of the car was cut and bruised by the impact and both car and engine were damaged. After treatment Mr. Rose was discharged from hospital at 9 o’clock this morning.
