Sub-Association’s Annual Meeting The annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Table Tennis Sub-Association was held last evening in the Hutt Recreation ground pavilion. Delegates were present from most clubs in the subassociation. The president, Mr. A. Marshall, said that the inter-club matches had been well contested, and that the management of these contests had been most satisfactory. It was noted that there was a most encouraging increase in the number of clubs affiliated with the sub-associa-tion during the year. In addition, with the increase in the number of clubs, the standard of play had shown a marked improvement. ' The financial position of the subassoclation was reported to he in a satisfactory position. The question of affiliation direct to the New Zealand Association was discussed, and it was stated that as there were 72 teams in the sub-association it was, if affiliated, entitled to seven votes, one for every 10 teams, and as a sub-association it was not entitled to vote on the New Zealand Association.

The hope was expressed that grading matches would be arranged for the players and the executive is to have its room suitably fitted with grading ladders. A motion that the number of club games be three a month, as against two games a month last year was lost. It was decided that the same typo of ball be used this year as last year. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr. A. Marshall: vice-president, M. T. Love; lion, auditor, Mr. J. Kondie; hon. secretary, Mr. S. J. Smith; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. Tustin; publicity officer, Mr. A. Harding; selectors, Messrs. K. Longmbre, G. Tustin and Mr. S. J. Smith; delegate to Wellington association, Mr. S. J. Smith; management committee, Messrs. E. J. Hughes, S. Blackie, J. Melvin, F. E. Smith, R. Pegler, L. Pyne, A. Hickling.
