Year’s Terms Amended
Amended school terms and vacations are to be observed during 1937 by the schools under the jurisdiction of the Wellington Education Board as follows :— First term, Monday, March 1, to Wednesday, May 12 (Coronation Day), 10 weeks 3 days. Vacation, Thursday, May 13, to Sunday, May 30. Second term, Monday, May 31, to Friday, August 20 (12 weeks). Vacation, Saturday, August 21, to Sunday, September 5. Third term, Monday. September 6, to Friday, December 17 (15 weeks). Vacation, Saturday. December 18, 1937. to Monday, January 31, 1938. Additional holidays specified are Hie King’s Birthday, Hie date of observance of which will be advised later, and Labour Day, Monday. October 25.
The reopening date for 1938 is February 1.
