GIFT PARTY
Miss Gwen Schmitt, who will be married shortly, was the guest of honour at a gift afternoon given at the residence of Mrs. J. C. W. Gregory, Hataitai, recently. Mrs. Gregory and Mrs. A. Donaldson were the hostesses. After tea had been served the bride-to-be opened the parcels, for which she thanked the guests. Among those present were Mesdames N. Henderson, Renouf, Bridgeman, O'Connor, Wyles, Casey, Logan, Woodward, Raymond, Schmitt, S. Luke and the Misses E. Luke and A. Donaldson. Competitions were won by Mrs. G. W. Wylie and Mrs. J. Power, ami songs were sung by Mrs. J. F. Woodward.
