TRANS-TASMAN TRAVEL
Interchange of Visits
Desirable
The advisability of more travel between the two countries by the people of Australia and New Zealand was referred to by the Bon. M. Connelly, M.L.C., who returned to Wellington by the Awatea from Sydney yesterday. Mr. Connelly has been on a holiday trip to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and North Queensland. Mr. Connelly said lie was impressed with the qualify and abundance of the production in Queensland. It appeared to him that that State had great possibilities.
“As a result of my visit,” added Mr. Connelly, “I am impressed with the idea that more travel should take place between Australia and New Zealand, and vice versa, by those contemplating a holiday. There are contrasts in the climatic conditions and in tlie scenic resources of both countries that make them desirable places to visit.”
