Increases 5 to 10 Per Cent.

Prices of all prominent brands of motor-vehicle tires have been increased throughout New Zealand. The percentage of increase varies according to lhe sizes' of the tires, but it is approximately 5 per cent, for tires of less than 5 J inches cross section and 10 per cent, for tires of more than that cross section. The prices pf all sizes of tubes have been increased by 5 per cent. New Zealand wholesalers have been busy drawing up new price-lists since they received instructions from overseas to make the change, and yesterday some minor points still had to be decided.
