The Washington correspondent of the “New York Times” says that the Governor-General of Canada, Lord Tweedsmuir, on the first occasion a Canadian Governor-General has paid an official visit to Washington, will arrive there on Tuesday. He will be a guest at a dinner at the White House and at a luncheon tendered by the Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, and will also be received by Congress. The occasion is expected to provide an opportunity to survey CanadianAmerican relations. Similarly, when the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. W. L.
